OnlyOneMessage v1.5 is about complete and will be released on September 5, 2025! This is one of the biggest updates (probably bigger than v1.4) that brings lots of QoL fixes, new features, and more. Join our support server to see its changelog when it releases!

I've always dreamed about making something awesome for everyone to enjoy. I've made OnlyOneMessage because I was passionate for it; I didn't want the money. I wanted to make something new.

Because of Discord's requirements, I have submitted a form to request full permissions for the Guild Members and Message Content intents. As for now, you may run into issues inviting OnlyOneMessage to your own server; I'm sorry if it happens! Discord caps bots to 100 servers if they haven't gotten full permissions yet.

## ❓ What is OnlyOneMessage?

OnlyOneMessage gives server admins *complete control* over how often members can post in a channel.

Discord's built-in slow mode is limited to *6 hours*. OnlyOneMessage **removes that limitation**, allowing you to enforce **long-term** or even **permanent** cooldowns *automatically*.

Need a channel where members can only post *once a week*? OnlyOneMessage **solves that.**

## ⚡ Get Started

**1:** Run `/setup` and press **Confirm**  
**2:** OnlyOneMessage will set up everything for you  
**3:** Once `/setup` is complete, use `/config` to customize its settings  
**4:** Use `/revert` to undo any configurations made by OnlyOneMessage.

## ⚙️ How It Works

When a user sends a message in the specified channel, they receive a custom role, **@OnlyOneMessageBlacklist**.

This role restricts members from:

• Sending messages  
• Creating or replying in threads  
• Adding reactions  

These restrictions apply only within the chosen OnlyOneMessage channel.
