Pastille – From a Small Idea to a Sweet Community Bot

Pastille was originally created as a private bot for a single Discord server. The goal was simple: help with moderation while still being fun and friendly to the community. At the time, it wasn’t meant to be shared or used by other servers.

As development continued, the bot started to grow beyond its original purpose. More features were added, the commands became more polished, and the idea of keeping moderation and fun in the same place proved to work really well. That’s when Pastille stopped being just a private project and became a public bot available to everyone.

Today, Pastille is a moderation bot that doesn’t feel cold or boring. It offers essential tools like banning members and applying timeouts, making it easy for staff to keep servers safe, organized, and respectful.

At the same time, Pastille brings life to servers through fun and interactive commands. Users can play games, answer daily challenges, flip coins, hug other members, and earn Treats, the bot’s virtual currency. These Treats can be transferred between users, used to compete in global rankings, and spent on profile customization.

Pastille also features a profile system, allowing users to set their gender, write an “About Me”, unlock new profile designs, and build a unique identity within the community.
