Version 3

Thread-Watcher has successfully been switched over to a complete rewrite I've been working on for the better part of 10 months. The new version (V3) includes improved versions of the same core features you've grown to know... and more!

I've taken the decision to pivot Thread-Watcher from being laser focused on keeping threads unarchived into more of a thread toolbox! Don't worry, the core features will remain the focus of the bot. I'm just opening the door for even more ways to enhance your Discord threads experience.

New Features

There's 2 new features available right now with more on the way. You can follow progress of new features, bug fixes, and general nerd stuff on the project planner! Now, without further yap, let's review the new features!

Tickets

Yeah yeah, I know. This is a feature that has been done hundreds of times already. Maybe you've even seen one or two ticket bots while browsing to this page. What makes Thread-Watcher different?

Easy, it's the configuration! Most bots allow you to edit the panel embed (often with serious paywalls) and maybe, if you are lucky, edit the text of the "create ticket" button. Thread-Watcher's tickets allows you to do both, completely free and without paywalls, but also brings the whole ticket creation process into focus.

Thread-Watcher allows you to fully customize the ticket creation pipeline by dragging and dropping modules that guide your user into providing you with the details your mod team needs to act fast while staying informed! Imagine something like google forms but 100% free and within Discord itself.

We've even added an "AI Clarify" module that automatically asks the user follow-up questions based on the info you provide it with, making sure all cases are covered and your mod team is set to take action as soon as the ticket is created.

Automatically watch Needle threads

Thread-Watcher is oftentimes paired with Needle, which is an amazing combo! But wouldn't it be nice if Thread-Watcher could automatically watch any thread created by Needle? Well... now it can! Simply use the /config command to enable the "Watch Needle Threads" feature. Thread-Watcher will take care of the rest!

Dashboard

Thread-Watcher has been enhanced with a web based dashboard! This is the only place you can create ticket panels at the moment. I spent quite some time making it and would love it if you took a look! :)

That's it for this announcement! Really really hoping you're liking the new version of Thread-Watcher so far! From my side I'm really enjoying seeing old bugs squashed and people having fun with the new features. Looking forward to building even more! Thank you for reading, ha det 👋
