- **/voice**: pick your favorite voice model. choose the one that actually sounds like a person.
- **/name**: tell the bot what to call you. set a custom nickname so the bot knows exactly who is speaking when it announces "<name> says:".

## self-hosting perks

ostinato is 100% open source and built for speed. when you self-host, you get access to all the under-the-hood settings:

- **speed control**: adjust the tts speed to your liking. zoom zoom.
- **volume & performance**: tweak the volume and max concurrency to keep the queue moving fast and the audio clear.
- **resource management**: it watches memory usage like a hawk. a hawk that occasionally panics, but a hawk nonetheless.

## disclaimer

the bot may not have 24/7 uptime due to maintenance and bug fixes (fixing the hawk). use at your own risk. if it breaks, you get to keep the pieces.
