minecraft.py

Minecraft.py is a bot built with nextcord, a fork of discord.py which gives all sorts of information about any Minecraft server or user. For example, this bot can /ping any server and find information such as online players and plugins. Furthermore, using the Mojang API and Crafatar.com, this bot can display renders of skins from any user such as avatars and full skin 3D renders. To find out more simply invite the bot and type /help!

I create this bot for server moderators and admin who enjoyed the technical side of Minecraft, but also for people just wanting images of their skins for their Discord profile. I also was looking to try out a new fork of discord.py which allowed use of many new features such as slash commands and sub-commands.

Commands Include:

/server ping <server_ip>: Check my ping to the server. /server java-status <server_ip>: See whether your given server is online/offline. /server bedrock-status <server_ip> : 'A bedrock equivalent to status. /server query <server_ip>: The most detailed report which include all players and plugins.

/user username-uuid : Find a uuid from any username. /user avatar : Get a users minecraft avatar. /user head : Get a 3D render of a minecraft user. /user body-render ': Get a full 3D render of a Minecraft user.

/help : A list of all available commands. /about: Information about the bot such as creator and credits.

Some server commands may not function correctly on more well known servers due to their anti-query and status request plugins. For example, play.hypixel.net does respond to /server status but not to /server ping. Furthermore, recent username changes or past usernames may not work with /user as it relies on crafatar.com's api to create a skin with your matching uuid/username.

In the future this bot will have an online interface built with react.js and commands to set default server queries and information. I would also like to look into integrating this into other APIs to make even more whacky and unusual renders or features such as hypixel or wynncraft stats.
