Years and years ago, peace and wonder filled and flooded the cosmos, citizens and people if all universes had nothing to fear. And thus, had no reason to fight. However, that would all end on a fateful and very eventful day.

On January 1st of XXXX, the peaceful atmosphere of the multiverse dulled into a time of darkness and sorrow. A black hole, one that would strike fear in to most everybody, popped up around each universe. The result of this would cause each universe to collapse upon itself and ultimately be eaten by said black hole.

The higher beings that patrolled and watched over the universes came to an agreement. Every being, no matter how strong or how weak, would be gathered in a single area. A single 'Planet' if you will. But, instead, it was a vast, empty space that mocked a planet. They named this Institute the 'Arena for Universal Fighters'. Otherwise abbreviated as the AUF.
