Centered around our unique Rust servers that incorporate an ARPG-style of gameplay, being largely Diablo/Fallout-inspired!
PRISM's BLUE server has a gameplay experience you won't find anywhere else on Rust.
We combine the gameplay elements that exist in some of our favorite games from when we were younger. Ranging from skill trees to Legendary items, we have it all, and we're adding more!
The skill tree itself takes from a variety of ARPG and MMORPG games, such as Diablo, Fallout, Borderlands, and RuneScape. We've carefully created an experience that fits those same elements into the first-person world of Rust. Great care is taken to ensure this is done in a way that fits the Rust narrative and feeling, and we are very thorough to ensure everything is balanced as any ARPG game should be. You won't find people who are completely overpowered, nor will you ever feel that your progress is meaningless. We're truly proud of what we've made, and if you give some of your time to try it out, we're certain you'll love it as much as we do... Provided you like ARPG-style games, that is!
In-game, you will be asked to pick a class. The classes, as of now are:
Packrat: Focused on roaming around monuments, killing NPCs, and generally being the looter of your group.
Farmer: Farmers will find themselves farming, of course. They are much more proficient at growing crops than anyone else, and can also use it to advance their whole group by being a good economic asset.
Loner: The Loner class is as it sounds. This class prevents you from joining any teams, and as a result, has very few negatives. You'll find that your gather rate is almost doubled compared to anyone else, and, among many other useful traits, you have cheaper research costs, more home TPs, and the ability to steal from vending machines.
Lumberjack: These guys cut down trees. A lot of them. With ultra efficiency, these guys can flatten a forest in seconds. They get XP when woodcutting, they get more charcoal, and they also contribute to the economics of their group, much like Farmer.
Miner: Perhaps the most valuable of any class, these are the fellas who are gonna get you further in your Rust life. They are able to gather ores much quicker than anyone else, they get XP from the ores, they smelt things faster, they can carry more ore at once, and provide significant contributions to any group that has one.
Nomad: Much like the Loners, Nomads are not able to join any team. They have the permanent effect of a Tier 2 Workbench no matter where they are. They're limited to very small bases, but they also deal more damage and take less damage. On top of this, they have much lower sleeping bag cooldowns. A good class for those looking to roam around, and not settle down in one spot for too long. Proficient PvPers.
No matter what you pick, even if you select no class at all, you will gain Luck XP over time.
Luck XP can be used to advance yourself in the skill tree. There are many different aspects of the skill tree, far too many to list here. However, for example:
You can use your Luck points to unlock a skill called "Eruption". This skill gives you a chance, with each hit, to have the ore you're hitting erupt in a volcano of ores. This means you not only get extra resources from that ore, but you even get things like Sulfur and HQM that you may not have gotten otherwise. This can activate multiple times on the same ore, and each level upgrade increases the chance and the amount!
Skills also have synergies. Lots of them. The "Harvester" skill gives you a chance to multiply the number of resources you get whenever harvesting! This affects trees, ores, pickups, farming, etc. Remember Eruption? Well, there's a chance that Harvester could activate on your Eruption, multiplying the number of ores you receive from the eruption itself!
In-game, like any good ARPG, we have legendary items as well. These are hard-to-find items that you can acquire from participating in PvE content.
Our base gather rate is 10x, we have teleports, and all the other things you've come to expect. But, on a server like this, does that really matter? The experience is hand-crafted. This isn't another server that is thrown up against the "Rust wall" in hopes that it'll stick. This was made with hundreds of hours of devotion and love. Give us a try, and we think you might just like to call us home.
