A socially anxious high school girl, Hitori "Bocchi" Gotoh, struggles to connect with others but dreams of being in a band. She eventually joins the "Kessoku Band," finding friends who accept her awkwardness.It is incredibly funny due to its creative visual representations of anxiety, breaking the fourth wall, and absurd cutaway jokes. It's "chill" in that it focuses on the cozy, everyday bonding of the band members, with great music and low-stakes drama.
