__**Welcome to The Ikai**__
Here, youkai live about their lives as normal, only crossing into the the Sekai (real world) during Oumagatoki (twilight). Unfortunately, their access to the human world during this time is decreasing. The root of this problem is the youkai reliance on the belief and fear of the humans. As the modern world grows, the superstition of humans diminishes and youkai find their power over the Sekai  threatened. Many talk about the glory days when they could cross over whenever they pleased, and encourage the newer generations to re-instill the fear and belief of them into mankind.

To further complicate things, the youkai who live in this city, Inzen-cho are locked in their own political wars between clans. The Kuudan Clan are traditionalists who wish to instill fear in mankind and hold power over the Sekai and Ikai, ruling with an iron first. The Mizuko Clan are more peaceful, going with the flow and believing that the modern world should dictate how Youkai live; they should co-exist with the Sekai, but not attack it or seize power. The Enkou Clan maintains a balance, remaining neutral and looking after their own. Other yokai live clanless, but are pressured to take a side.
Ikai Rp is based in a town inspired by the culture of feudal japan, and anime like inuyasha, nurarihyon no mago, kakuriyou no yadomeishi, and other media featuring yokai. Despite this old town structure, the yokai live right along side the modern world: with the daitokai inspired by cities like Tokyo, and Kyoto. Any kind of yokai, along with humans, onmyoji and animals can be played here.  All we ask is that players handle themselves responsibly, follow the rules and have fun.
