Both games included a countdown to July 29, 2021, implying that "something big" was on the way. The Pet Simulator X game trailer debuted on the BIG Games YouTube channel on July 26th, 2021. It was a teaser for Pet Simulator X, demonstrating how the game's overworld will seem. Up to the game's release, the BIG Games Twitter account tweeted several times, offering hints and demonstrating new features. In the first Pet Simulator game, there was a countdown until the release of Pet Simulator X.
