Boxbert

Boxbert is a competitive levels game that revolves around mystery boxes. Mystery boxes drop randomly throughout conversations as well as manually using the /drop command.

The Basics: • Mystery boxes can be good, bad, or neutral. More boxes are added over time to keep the game fresh and exciting. • Levels can go up or down, but never less than zero. • Sending messages increases your XP to work toward the next level. • Box-based user tiers (Box Pro, Box Guru, Box God, etc.) can be obtained by opening more boxes.

Mystery Boxes Can Contain: • Simple + or - levels • Competitive content such as the ability to steal levels • Mini games such as rock-paper-scissors or rolling a 20-sided die for XP/levels • Punishments for opening the wrong box such as losing box opening abilities until you successfully answer a riddle

The Goal: The ultimate goal of the game is to beat the record, which can be found on the record board using the /records command. There are monthly winners in each server by ending the month ranked first place for your server. Levels are reset back to zero at midnight CST on the 1st of each month, but records are forever. Members can work together to strategically build toward a new server record, but it's every man for themselves come end of the month.

Statistics: Box drops and box opens are tracked so users can look at their own box stats, server stats, or global stats (new stat commands coming soon).

Premium Content: • Users can subscribe for unlimited manual box drops, but otherwise receive 10 free box drops per month. • ChatGPT features such as setting Boxbert's personality or clearing the ChatGPT memory.

Commands:

Player Commands: • /drop — drop a random box • /rank — individual user rank card; shows username/server, user's local server rank, level, XP, box tier name and avatar, global rank, record level, number of boxes opened, and number of drops available (resets to 10 every month) • /leaderboard — current monthly standing, ordered by rank (can view local server leaderboard or combined global leaderboard) • /records — lifetime list of users' personal records, ordered by rank (can view local server records or combined global records) • /boxlist — list of all potential boxes • /riddle — provides a riddle that must be answered to escape Goblin Island • /vote — vote for Boxbert on Top.gg and earn free drops

Premium Commands: • /drop — when subscribed, user gets unlimited box drops (otherwise 10 per month) • /personality — Boxbert comes with ChatGPT enabled, with a 'Box God' persona. when subscribed, change Boxbert's personality to whatever you want • /clear_memory — when subscribed, clear Boxbert's ChatGPT conversational context

Mod Settings Commands (Must Have manage_channels permissions): • /settings — enable/disable Warehouse, Box-Free Zone, Winner's Circle, the /drop Command, and set/enable/disable random box drop frequency • /set_drop_frequency — set/enable/disable random box drop frequency between within 20 messages (too frequent) to 100 (never) • /set_warehouse — set/enable/disable Warehouse channel; when set and enabled, boxes will only be allowed to be dropped in the Warehouse • /set_box_free_zone — set/enable/disable Box-Free Zone channel; when set and enabled, boxes will not be allowed to be dropped in the Box-Free Zone • /set_winners_circle — set/enable/disable Winner's Circle channel; when set and enabled, monthly winner announcements will be made in the Winner's Circle

Fun Commands: • /say — anonymously make Boxbert say anything • /reply — anonymously make Boxbert reply to any message • /react — anonymously make Boxbert react to any message

Developer Commands (Developer Use Only): • /reset_levels — resets all user levels (excluding records) back to zero, used at midnight CST on the 1st of each month (to be deprecated for automated level reset) • /devdrop — drop any specific box (for testing purposes only) • /devlev — manually set any user's level (for debugging purposes only)
