CipherBot

CipherBot An open source Discord bot written in Python that does all things Cryptography. CipherBot helps you encrypt/decrypt secret messages to friends, vote in secure polls, check cryptocurrency prices, and more!

Commands:

Cryptography

$keygen Generates new Diffie-Hellman private and public keys for encryption and decryption. Execute often for better security. /encrypt calls this automatically if keys were not previously generated.

/encrypt Encrypt a secret message to send to a user of choice. This command does an undercover $keygen if both parties have not yet generated their encryption keys.

/decrypt Decrypts ciphertext that was sent by someone.

Secure Voting

$vote <option 1> <option 2> Creates a 2-option poll with a prompt that accepts submissions for a specified number of minutes. Use quotation marks to separate arguments that have spaces. No user will be able to see another's votes (exceptions exist for bot hosters).

Cryptocurrency

$crypto Shows the price of the coin with the requested coin symbol.

$bitcoin Shows the price of Bitcoin (BTC).

$ethereum Shows the price of Ethereum (ETH).

$dogecoin Shows the price of Dogecoin (DOGE).

Utilities and Miscellaneous

$help Shows CipherBot information and commands.

$hello Exchange greetings with CipherBot!

$kick Mention a user to kick from the server.

$ban Mention a user to ban from the server.

$shutdown CipherBot will go offline; only the bot's host may use this.

Privacy Policy We are fully committed to protecting to your privacy.

Information Stored User ID and Guild IDs Public and private keys generated for each user Data Usage We use this data to encrypt/decrypt messages and to run our secure polls.

Distribution We will not disclose any personal information without your consent and we do not share it with any external sites.

Concerns and Contact Public and private keys are generated only if a CipherBot encryption command is used. You may send secrets through other means if you do not wish to use CipherBot. If you have any further issues, you can contact Kevin Xiao via any medium.

Disclaimer: CipherBot's features are not all completely secure from cryptographic attacks. Many of the implemented cryptographic algorithms are shallow or are emulations for academic purposes. We work within the boundaries given by the Discord.py API, and cannot ensure security from threats beyond other users in your Discord server. CipherBot is not intended for professional or truly secure settings.
