Quora’s Policies and Guidelines BTS IS A Family Will Be Implementing Immediately

Here at BTS IS A FAMILY we do honor the Be Nice, Be Respectful (BNBR) policy along with a few other policies that are listed below. Please read carefully:

1. A core Quora principle, "Be Nice, Be Respectful" (or “BNBR”), requires that people treat other people on the site with civility, respect, and consideration. Respect opposing or differing opinions, beliefs and conclusions. Try to listen to and understand others you may disagree with. Encourage others on the site to also be welcoming and respectful.

Engage with Others in a Constructive Way

Assume everyone on Quora is here to make the platform a great resource with diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and opinions. It is OK to disagree, but please be civil, respectful, and considerate to other posters.

No Hate Speech

Quora is a place for civil discourse and does not tolerate content that attacks or disparages an individual or group based on race, gender, religion, nationality, ethnicity, political group, sexual orientation or another similar characteristic. Any generalizations about these topics should be phrased as neutrally as possible.

Using any of the words on Wikipedia's list of ethnic slurs is not allowed, unless the purpose is to ask a sincere question about the usage/background of the word.

No glorifying or advocating violence

Quora does not allow content that glorifies violence. Images, videos, and descriptions of violence should not be added with the intent to traumatize others or make them uncomfortable. Content involving violence is permitted if it raises awareness about issues, memorializes historical events, or is educational in nature.

Threats are not tolerated on Quora. Content should not make threats against others or advocate violence, including self-harm, even in a joking manner. Questions that seek advice about how to commit acts of violence or self-harm will be removed.

Restriction on answers that advocate certain harmful actions

Quora does not allow answers that advocate certain behaviors, including:

a) Rape and molestation, child abuse, and adult-child sexual relations

b) Premeditated murder, including genocide

c) Suicide and self-harm

We may choose to change or expand this list in the future.

The rationale for this specific limitation is that answers that support these actions could influence a user to make an ill-considered decision that significantly harms themselves or others.

No Harassment and Bullying

Abusive behavior directed towards private individuals is not allowed. Repeated and unwanted contact constitutes a form of harassment. Content should not make threats against others or advocate violence, including self-harm. Using sexually explicit or flirtatious language toward another person, if such language would likely make the person uncomfortable, also constitutes harassment.

Be respectful of other people's content. Assume other people that you interact with on Quora are acting sincerely and in good faith; do not insult questions, answers, or other content.

Respect the Rights of Others

Intellectual Property and Personal Rights

Do not post content that infringes any intellectual property or personal right of another party. Writing taken from another source should be properly attributed and block quoted.

No Malicious or Illegal Activity

Do not contribute viruses, malware, and other malicious programs or engage in activity that harms or interferes with the operation of Quora or seeks to circumvent security or authentication measures. Do not use Quora to engage in unlawful or fraudulent activity, or to promote illegal acts.

Participating constructively in comment threads

In general, comment threads on Quora are interactions among strangers. Given that another person on the site may be new to Quora and/or doesn't know you, we require a higher level of politeness than other interactive platforms where users know one another and/or where more adversarial social norms are established and tolerated. A key goal of the Be Nice, Be Respectful policy is to help ensure that comments do not stifle helpful discussion and debate.

Thoughtful discourse, including debate, is encouraged on Quora. It is OK to disagree if your comments are civil, respectful, and polite, and if you give the impression of assuming good will on the part of the person you are disagreeing with. A good way of framing this test is: "If I am new to Quora and / or don't know you, would it be reasonable for me to perceive your comment as hostile or disrespectful toward me or what I've written?" The answer should be no.

In multi-comment threads where there is significant disagreement among people, a person should stop commenting on the thread before creating the reasonable impression that they are harassing, attacking, and/or bullying another person.

Criticism and diversity of opinions

Quora is a place for diverse people with diverse views and experiences. There will be times when content may express a negative point of view, or one that does not agree with your own.

Quora will not take down content solely for expressing a negative or unfavorable viewpoint if the content appears to be helpful in fostering debate or serving the public interest. Quora's BNBR policy is not intended to prevent criticism on matters of public interest, public figures, or organizations.

When expressing a negative viewpoint, people should ensure their criticism is relevant to the point at hand and does not contain unfounded or absurd accusations. When answering a question, do your best to see the world from the perspective of the person who posted the question. It is usually not helpful to criticize or challenge the fundamental beliefs of other posters on Quora in a response to other content and doing so may be considered a BNBR violation. For example, in responding to the question "Is it OK to only go to church on Easter?", the following answer would be considered disrespectful and is not allowed: "There is no God and religious rituals are a waste of time."

2. Quora does not allow the following on their platform and BTS IS A FAMILY also will not allow the following:

a) Questions about individuals that are hurtful, mean-spirited or likely to make the person uncomfortable aren't allowed.

b) Questions that constitute harassment and have the potential to make the experience of using Quora unpleasant or uncomfortable for group(s) of users may be deleted.

c) Poll questions that ask individuals for their opinions or preferences from a limited set of choices without also asking those individuals how or why are not allowed.

Fraud: committing any form of fraud is strictly forbidden. This includes:

a) Having multiple accounts or coordinating votes or other forms of fraudulent engagement to benefit you or harm someone else (see sockpuppeting)

b) Faking pageviews, visits, clicks, or any other forms of activity by using bots, fake accounts, scripts, or any other fraudulent method

*SURVEY QUESTIONS asking for the perspectives/views of individuals and typically ask why or how those views came to be, are acceptable.

Misrepresentation or misuse of this space page to improve your performance or harm others' experience is strictly forbidden. We have created policies and guidelines to give direction about what constitutes proper representation and use for BTS IS A Family space page. Here at BTS IS A FAMILY space is where we all should feel welcomed and/or at home. We are wanting to create a space that is a very inclusive space that all of you would feel accepted and safe without being targeted by negativity. Where we can be ourselves without fear of retaliation. Keeping this in mind, we ask that you follow the RULES listed below.

Actually reading a follow Quorans notice she posted on her on space page, I dm’d her and asked if I could use her notice on this space page, for I felt the same way that she wrote about the subject. Sorry if this is sounding harsh but it is getting ugly out there on Quora, and I for one would like it to stop.

1. We should not stop taking other people’s religion, sexuality, political correctness, and/or feelings into consideration. This space is meant for everyone regardless of our differences (continent, culture, language, or religion).

a. This includes NO Political Issues, NO Religious Discussions, NO Harmful Content, NO Fighting and NO Derogatory or NO Defamation of BTS or anyone else in this community, this space is for everyone around the world and everyone is accepted.

2. We can all agree to disagree; however, I am asking that you respect your fellow community member. If you disagree you can ignore them and move on, for we have plenty of content that you can read, or if you wish to contribute do so in a respectfully way, for example: My opinion is……

a. Everyone in this community is welcomed to voice their opinion within reason without fear of being attacked. Again, always show respect for others.

3. There will be NO Cyberbullying in this space, it will not be tolerated. If you are caught cyberbullying by the Moderation or Administration team you will automatically be Blocked from this space. If you are reported for cyberbullying by someone other than the Moderation Team or one of the Administration Team, we will review the complaint before deciding.

a. If we agree with the report then you will be blocked, but if we think it was just taken the wrong way then you will get a warning that the content was taken in an offensive way and please be more considerate towards others feelings.

NO sockpuppeting allowed.

a. Sockpuppeting is when one person uses an alternate account to pose as a separate person.

b. It is a form of deception where one person pretends to be others, often to push an agenda or troll an audience. By operating two or more online accounts, a person can make it look like others agree with their point, and/or “gang up on” another user.

c. The term comes from sock puppets — a puppet formed by placing a sock on one’s hand. While the operator is acting as though an additional individual is talking (the puppet), they are just speaking alone.

4. There is NO Shipping (Dating or Sexual) on this space, Bromance are okay if it is to the understanding that they are just friends (my favorite is Sope, they are hilarious together). BTS has asked so many times to please stop shipping them with each other, it makes them uncomfortable (reference rule #1).

a. All dating, sexual ships, sexualizing, simping or derogative implications found on this space will be deleted and the author will be given a warning. If the author posts any of these a 2nd time (after their official warning) they will be blocked from this space.

5. There will be NO disrespecting BTS (reference rule #2). NO negativity, NO repeating gossip, NO slander, and absolutely NO DRAMA will be welcomed here. This space was created to stay away from those type of DRAMA scenarios. The whole purpose of this space is to enjoy BTS content with out the stress of Haters, Karens, Sasaengs, Anonymous, or Trolls harassing you.

a. NO YouTube edited video’s or Fanfics allowed. Only videos from Bangtan TV, BTS Bomb, VLive, Weverse, Big Hit Labels, or any legitimate broadcasting media.

b. Any videos that have been dubbed or altered to fabrication will be deleted and the author notified. If the author posts another video (after there official warning) that was dubbed or altered for fabrication will be blocked from the space.

c. I am sure there are some YouTube videos that are harmless memes and if you feel it is not in any violation of the rules you can send to the Moderation Team or Admin Team. We will review and if it is indeed harmless then we will allow the video to be posted.

6. Content must be BTS related in one form or another, or content that is related to BIG HIT Labels. Other content maybe reviewed for potential posting.

7. Answers may be collapsed for the following reasons:

a. The answer is a duplicate. Lately we have had multiple people submitting the same post several times. Before submitting make sure there is not another post already submitted for the same thing. For example: Sing with each individual BTS member preforming Dynamite, I was submitting those, but there were a few other people submitting those as well. So, we had duplicates of the same video.

b. We love hearing other opinions about topics, so same questions with different answers are more than welcomed. However, we do have a lot of people submitting content and short answers like yes, no, or even a sentence or two might be declined for posting for elaboration. We want to hear more not just yes or no, so express yourself.

c. The answer needs improvement to be helpful. As stated, before we want you to express yourself (within reason and policy).

*Anyone can submit a question, share an answer, or a video. You do not need to be a contributor or staff. We welcome followers to contribute too. If you like to be a contributor send a request, we are always looking for good writers.

8. For now, these are the rules of BTS IS A FAMILY space. However, these rules are subject to change without notice.

We need to co-exist with different points of views, different beliefs, and difference in personalities. Everyone here has something to contribute so we should respect what they have to offer. Remember we are a community, we are a family, we are BTS IS A Family.

Any violation of the above rules could have you blocked from BTS IS A FAMILY.
