Identity manipulation is when you train your mind to identify a fraction of its thoughts as somebody who isn't you. 

Have you ever heard of an author whose characters seem to act on their own?  Have you ever noticed how you behave differently when surrounded by different groups of friends?  These experiences are common, and can be encouraged.  By doing so, you can train your mind to habitually speak in another voice and with another personality, and you can create the feeling that it wasn't you doing the speaking when it does so.

While it sounds insane, this isn't a community for schizophrenics or those who are hearing voices. We aren't (totally) crazy people. It's a thing anyone can do and remain functional and in control while doing so.

Some people believe that the self is a illusion, and that we should be above it.  I disagree. We can instead use the idea that the self is an illusion to create experiences that would otherwise be impossible.  This community is created for the purpose of doing so.
