The republic is at peace mostly since the Sith Empire now having been gone for nearly 700 to 800 years and has rebuilt quite well. Though various diplomatic and other issues are around, the outer rim still mostly outside the influence of the republic.

2800 BBY

The republic is doing well, disputes between systems and governments has led to a influx of outgoing resources to aid allies and other interest. Outer rims are as usual still, however beginning to bicker though the republic has passed it off as "nothing new". The jedi order is rebuilt and though not as strong and widespread as before has done well in recent times, mostly now aiding in these disputes leaving many planets in the outer rims alone.

The republic is spending mass resources fighting various small terrorist elements and rebuilding worlds still left devastated by the previous wars. A variety of activity in the outer regions such as minor fights and etc. between small governments and other various government changes on the outer rim.
There have been rumors that the dark side have begun to stir though the council has dismissed these. Some small disturbances in the force and some disappearances of republic troops reported and even a few found dead. Most of this has been seemingly dismissed though and said to be pirates and raiders. With the jedi busy trying to maintain peace and help the republic continue to rebuild for the devastation of previous wars the galaxy is still having its own internal issues even without the Sith who now seem all but forgotten.
