Volvox started in 2018 with a simple idea: what if there was a developer community where people actually helped each other instead of gatekeeping knowledge behind condescending Stack Overflow answers and "just Google it" responses?

We build real software that solves real problems, and we cultivate a space where developers at every skill level can grow without judgment.

What We Build

We're not a Discord server that just talks about coding—we ship production software:

• Sobers (sobers.app) – A recovery accountability app. Think Jira for your sobriety. Sponsor-sponsee pairing, journey tracking, task management, and expense tracking to show how much you've saved. Available on iOS, Android, and web.

• Decision Jar (decisionjar.app) – Fighting decision fatigue one shake at a time. Custom jars, AI suggestions, gamification, and offline support. Because sometimes you just need the universe (or an algorithm) to pick where to eat.

• Dosed – Coming soon. Medication reminders and adherence tracking with a local-first, privacy-focused approach.

Our products share a common thread: accountability mechanisms for niche communities that are often overlooked by mainstream tech.
