Managing, moderating, and securing large-scale Discord servers is time-consuming, complex, and sometimes unrewarding. 

Building a staff team for a growing server can force you to give users permissions in your server - users that you don't particularly trust - in exchange for having the additional manpower. When you place these tasks in the hands of automation, provided that the automation is reliable the result will be more reliable too. This is the building block of an idea we had when we decided to create Sentri. 

Sentri was once at it's core, nothing. A bot framework. We then took the time to then build modules (aka cogs) for Sentri, that give it the superpowers it needs to keep your server (and members) safe. 

When our server's members were being constantly unruly and causing undesired issues that we couldn't monitor for 24/7 (humanly) - we rolled out the agentic moderator to let us be able to safely take our eyes off the server without it exploding. 

When we saw partner servers being spammed by compromised accounts that had ran RATs (Remote Access Trojans) and thus had their Discord accounts stolen, we added honeypot channels to help intercept the spam patterns these bots were following and remove them before they could share dangerous links with anyone else in the server. 

When we saw one fake Steam gift card scam after another, we added automated integration with URLScan.io and Cloudflare Radar for active URL scanning, alongside our own link safety module.

We've been on Discord ourselves since almost Day 1 - for every bit of hell this platform has endured. The days when beefing with the wrong user got illegal underage content spammed in your channels. The days of scat raids. We've seen a lot of different types of abuse and learned a lot from each individual type, that lets us today create tools to protect your server and members more effectively than any other bot.
