### **What is Discord Pandemic?**

**Discord Pandemic** is a Discord Minigame bot with a backstory. 

Patient zero went to the market and ate a snail from India, little did he know it lived in the dirtiest crevice known to man. The poor snail was infected with the new strain of DV1 (Discord Virus Version 1). When patient zero ate the snail, he noticed a strange taste in his mouth. He went to tell his friends on discord. Little did he know, he would start the spread of the DV1 virus.

Now, many people are infected with the virus, and every message they send in any server that the bot is in could infect another user.  For every person that they infect, they can also infect another person! Every person that infects someone gets XP points which they can spend to upgrade their virus and make sure that it doesn't become irrelevant.

### **How to play**

To begin playing **Discord Pandemic Mini-Game** all you have to do is invite the bot to your server (Or join a server the bot is in) and start sending messages in channels. For every message you send there is a `10%` chance that the channel you have just spoken in gets infected. If a channel becomes infected the next person to talk in that channel will then become `infected`. This will then give you XP which you can spend upgrading your virus. Infected people stay infected for 1 hour, and during this time they cannot be infected by anybody else.

If you get infected, not to worry! There are no negative effects for you, other than the fact that you have just allowed someone to gain more XP. You can compete for the most XP with the `.leaderboard` command.

### Commands

`.help` - Lists the commands for the bot

`.leaderboard infections` - This shows the global infections leaderboard. 

`.leaderboard xp` - This shows the global XP leaderboard.

`.daygraph` - Shows the total daily infections

`.alltimegraph` - Shows the total amount of infections

`.xp` - Shows the amount of XP and infections you have.

`.stats` - Shows players stats

`.vote` - Direct messages the user the links to top.gg voting page!

`.ping` - Displays the bots ping.



### **FAQ**

`Q:` **Will everybody in my server get infected?**

`A:` If everybody in your server talks and is active in chat, that is definetly a possible outcome yes! However, people can only be infected for 1 hour at a time.

`Q:` **If I send a message in a channel, can it infect someone 5 days later?**

`A:` This outcome can only happen if the bot has not been restarted in 5 days, or if the channel which the message was sent has not had messages recieved in it for a long period of time.

`Q:` **How do I know if a channel is infected?**

`A:` Currently there is no way of knowing. However, this is not something which will cause any issues or detur anybody from talking in chat. This bot is designed to encourage people to talk more.

`Q:` **How long can I be infected for?**

`A:` Users can only be infected for 1 hour at a time.

`Q:` **Are there any negative effects when someone is infected?**

`A:` No! No negative effects will ever be put onto a user. The only negative aspect is that if you get infected you have increased someone elses XP. But this does not directly, or ever will directly impact the experience anybody has in a server.

`Q:` **Who gets the first virus?**

`A:` Everyone has their own virus! This allows anybody to play the game at any stage, rather than having to wait for someone else to infect them.

`Q:` **How do I infect someone?**

`A:` All you have to do is start sending messages in a channel. There is a 10% chance that your message will infect it.

`Q:` **Can the same channel be infected multiple times?**

`A:` Yes! If a channel is infected by more than one person, the next person to speak in that channel will then be infected by both users. Then, both of those users will be given the same amount of XP.
