You can get elected for the 4 Landtage (State Parliaments) and rule your own Land (State) in the Federal Republic or you can try to be a member of the Bundestag which is the Federal parliament. The Chancellor rules the government and is elected by the Bundestag. So you need your party to get elected as channellor.
