In the year 2015, Pokemon developed Human forms, reserving their true forms for fights. It's now the year 2019, and Pokemon have been integrated almost completely into human society. There are still pokemon fights but now they're treated more as gladitorial games, rather than competitions. Sometimes, pokemon fight in human form, as their powers still work in human form. Trainers are less of Masters now and more of Caretakers, Keeping the Pokemon healthy and in shape. As the Human forms make transportation far easier, Poke-balls are now pretty obsolete. Pokemon have learned to speak and are almost completely sentient, on the same level as their fully human counter-parts.
