dormiveglia was once known for it’s beautiful nature and joyous festivals that would last until the dawn, cities filled with people who loved celebrating together, the sound of music always present as local performers would make their way to the center of each city, people dancing along like they were born for it.

for an island that’s surrounded by nothing but water for as far as the eye can see, it was always lively. every now and then a lost traveler would somehow find their way there, instantly fascinated by everything they were to experience on this island full of wonders.

said travelers would tell stories and tales, tell about the creatures they’d seen. sometimes instead of words they would illustrate what they saw, this way attracting more people, the curiosity growing stronger amongst many. what was this island and what made it special? was it the drastic differences of weather on it or was it the beautiful oasis or the large forests full of mysteries?

whatever it was, the word spread fast and sooner than later the population of the island grew notably. at first the original residents of the island welcomed everyone with open arms, but as time passed by, more and more difficulties started occuring. no longer were all these different creatures getting along, but a certain hierarchy was starting to form. people started considering others a threat, quick to protect was once was theirs and theirs only.

the place that was once welcome for everyone was no more. demonic creatures were blamed for bringing the island misfortune and it didn’t take long until said creatures started disappearing or forming into groups in order to survive as others began hunting them down. lone wolves still exist, but it is said they’ve either mastered the survival skills or simply have a death wish.
