This server exists for people who value observation over assumption, measurement over repetition, and critical thinking over appeals to authority. Everything discussed here starts from what can be tested, measured, observed, and logically examined, not from what we are told to believe because it is written in a textbook or narrated by a cartoon.

Flat Earth Central is not about shouting slogans or trading memes. It is about asking the questions that were never allowed, revisiting experiments that were never repeated honestly, and examining claims that are treated as sacred rather than scientific.

Here we discuss long distance observation, refraction and line of sight, stars, sun and moon behavior, pressure and atmo physics, historical surveys, photography, optics, and the logical foundations of cosmology itself. We care deeply about definitions, assumptions, and whether a claim has ever been directly demonstrated in reality.

You will not be told what to think here. You will be expected to explain how you know something is true.

Respectful disagreement is welcome. Dogma is not. Authority without evidence carries no weight. If you are here to mock, preach, or repeat talking points without understanding them, you will be challenged. If you are here to learn, question, test, or teach in good faith, you are in the right place.
