👋 Hey! If this is your first time hearing about Onverse, welcome!

Onverse is a place where you can chat with AI chatbots—essentially a c.ai clone inside Discord!

1A. Getting Started

(You need to be the server's manager for this.)

📝 1. Creating an Account

To start chatting with AI in Discord, you need to create an account.

💡 Want a guest account? Use the /guest command and skip to Step 3.

🔗 2. Linking Your Account

After registering, link your Onverse account with Discord by using the /link command.

🔒 You'll receive a personalized link—do not share it! It’s tied to your Discord account.

💬 3. Creating a Chat

Once linked, you’re ready to chat!

• Type /newchat in any chat.
• Provide a chatbot's codename (e.g., assistant).
• Want a custom bot? Use custom as the codename.

A new thread will be created for your conversation.

✉️ 4. Sending Messages

To chat, use:

/c <your message>

⚠️ Important: You must send messages inside the chat thread!

🎉 Congrats! You’re now chatting with AI. Keep going as much as you like!

1B. 🔗 Connecting with Channels

You can link a chat thread to a channel so that server members can talk with the bot by pinging it.

🔄 1. Linking a Chat Thread to a Channel

In the chat thread you want to link, use:

/linktochannel <channel>

📢 2. Start Chatting!

Now, members can ping @Onverse (or reply with Mentions enabled), and the bot will respond.

⚠️ A channel can only have one linked chat at a time. To switch chats, unlink the old one using:

/unlinkfromchannel

2. ⚡ User Commands

Onverse supports user commands! By adding Onverse as an app to your Discord account, you can access slash commands everywhere—including Direct Messages and servers that allow it.
