Confess your deepest secrets; in secret...

A confession bot that can post anonymous confessions to dedicated channels, and optionally log them for server staff reviews.

/setup

This command helps server staff set up the bot. You need MANAGE SERVER permissions to use this command. You can set:

  • Confession Channel
  • Logging
  • Logging Channel (optional, ideal if "Logging" is set to "Yes")

/confess

This command allows you to confess to the dedicated confession channel set during /setup. This command will work in any channel, and directly post the confession to the set channel. All confessions provide a Report Button, Reply Button, Trash Button and WhoIS Button.

  • Report button reports a confession to our Global Moderation Team for review.
  • Reply button creates a thread underneath the confession, allowing people to reply to the confession while keeping the channel neat and tidy.
  • Trash button allows confession authors or server staff (those with MANAGE MESSAGES permissions) to trash the confession, editing the confession to state it was removed by the author/server staff.
  • WhoIS Button allows server staff to view who made what confession for moderation purposes. (Useful if logging is turned "off" during /setup).

Access to this command can be revoked globally at any time per individual USER ID's by our Global Moderation Team (GMT) if a confession was reported and deemed to be breaking Discord TOS or Community Guidelines.

/reply

This command functions very similar to /confess but instead allows users to send "anonymous replies" to any channel available for the bot to post in. This requires heightened permissions/roles for the bot itself for best effect.

  • All buttons from /confess are provided with this command excluding the "Reply Button".

All buttons for /confess and /reply can be disabled with /config.

/config

This command allows high-permission server staff to Enable/Disable all buttons across the board. Disabling a button disables it for BOTH /confess and /reply with no way to pick which command has the button Enabled/Disabled. You can toggle:

  • Report Button (Enable/Disable)
  • Reply Button (Enable/Disable)
  • Trash Button (Enable/Disable)
  • WhoIS Button (Enable/Disable)
  • /reply Command (Enable/Disable)

Disabling the /reply command is useful if you don't want your server members to be able to use the bot outside of the set confessions channel.
