Hello Server Owners!

We hope everyone's servers are continuing to thrive, and that Serenity is fitting in well with your communities!

Development Updates:

• I am excited to announce that our official website is now live: https://www.serenitycentral.cloud/
Please note that site may load a little slowly at the moment. I am actively working on improving our load times by optimizing caching and integrating cloudflare.

• Serenity's Discord bot has received some important backend updates this week, including the squashing of two high-level bugs to improve stability and performance.

• I have officially launched the Serenity API!
Although it will remain closed source for now, the API will allow us to create powerful new features, including venting forums on our website. This will help users connect between the website and Discord in a seamless and supportive way.

Coming Soon:

Next week, development will primarily focus on expanding our web platform. At the end of the week, we also plan to release Alpha v0.8.0 for the Discord bot — featuring an exciting new tool for users to enjoy!

Hello Community,

I am excited to share a quick development update regarding @Serenity. We're approaching the release of `alpha_0.8.0`, and it's bringing something really special.

Introducing: Serenity Challenges:

This brand-new feature allows communities to participate in supportive, uplifting, and community-focused weekly challenges designed to help users build consistent habits and boost their mental health and well-being.

Each challenge includes easy-to-achieve daily goals across themes like mindfulness, self-care, reflection, connection, and more - all crafted to empower users in gentle, meaningful ways.

I can not wait to roll this out and see how your community supports one another through it!

I just deployed an update to the bot that resolves 1 instance of the [50013] error, 1 instance of the [50024] error, and 1 instance of an [autoVentEnable] error. Each time someone accidentally breaks the bot, we get closer to an official stable release!

• Optional anonymity for all users.

🔄 Crisis Hotline Directory
• Integrate throughlines API for 24/7 Hotlines 
• Add localized crisis helpline support (e.g., /help USA).
• Expand database for global resources.

🔄 Mood Tracking (V2)
• Use canvas to dynamically create mood charts and trends for users emotions over time.
• Automatic mood escalation: provide resources for users with 3 or more negative mood logs in a row.

🔄 Coping Features
• /clearhead command to prompt users to write and delete negative thoughts instantly (like writing on a paper and tearing it up).
• Custom coping list commands that lets users store their personal coping mechanisms. Use sub commands to show a custom list, or suggest a random CBT approved coping technique.
• Support system (Buddy Check-Ins) that allow users the ability to send a gentle nudge to a friend to see how they're doing, that uses safe, emoiji-bases mood sharing. Users can opt-in to get check-ins from a friend.

🔄 Community-Led Mental Health Resource Sharing
• /resources command to list community-submitted mental health guides, helplines, books, and tips.
• /resources suggest lets users add helpful materials for all serenity users to access.
• A weekly spotlight that highlights the most supportive server in our network, providing users with a safe space to join.
