Get Started

Configuring Applications (Optional)

You can use the following commands to set up a system for accepting and processing applications on your Discord server:

1. Make sure you have administrator privileges.

2. Use the !init command to create the necessary roles (Verified, Unverified, New, and Moderator).

3. Use the !setapplications command to specify the channel where you want to receive applications. You can specify the channel by its ID or name.

4. Use the !setrules command to set the message that contains your guild's rules, and add a reactable emoji for users to acknowledge the rules.

5. Inform your users about the !apply command in a separate text channel. To submit an application, users can either message the bot directly or type the !apply command in the designated channel. The application will then be sent to the specified channel.

Configure Rust (Optional)

To set up channels for Rust server wipes and or news. Call !setwipes and or !setnews and provide a channel ID or the name of the channel. To find the channel ID simply go to settings and turn on developer mode in advanced and right click on the channel and copy the ID.

Rust Commands

!destroy [amount] [entity]

This command will showcase different explosives and the amount of explosives to destroy the entity.

!craft [amount] [item]

This command with the provided parameters will showcase the resources and the time you need to craft the specified amount.

!refine [amount] [resource]

This command will output the time and resources you gain by refining. The only resource that you can refine is crude oil as of now.

!smelt [amount] [resource]

This command will describe the time and amount of wood you need and resources you gain by smelting. !smelt simulates the normal furnace in rust.

!gather [tool]

This command will send information about the gather rates of a certain tool.

!recycle [amount] [item]

Check what you get from recycling a amount of a certain item.

!compost [amount] [item]

Find out how much fertilizer you get from an item.

Economy

!experiment [tier]

Experiment your luck! There are 3 tiers and they respectively cost 75, 300, 500 scrap. All the blueprints are available.

!coderaid

You can try to code raid and win a big scrap jackpot.

!spin

Spin [number] [scrap] wheel to win scrap just like in bandit camp.

!search

Try to find barrels to destroy. You can earn scrap.

!scrap

How much scrap do you have? Just type !scrap to see for yourself.

!farm [resource]

You can farm resources with your equiped tool.

!sell [resource]

Here you sell your resources to earn scrap.

!quizgame

Win scrap by answering random questions based on three different grades.

General Commands

!init

This command will create moderation roles such as Verified, Unverified, New and Moderator. These roles are necessary for applications to work as intended.

!apply [Guild Name]

This command will create a application in your configured channel. It is only available to the New role and can be called privately in dms and through the guild channels. Rusty Bot will ask four questions (Your age, Rust Hours, Reason to apply and your Steam URL).

!verify [username]

Verify is only accessed by moderators and admins. Verify will remove the role 'Unverified' and add the 'Verified' role.

!unverify [username]

Type unverify to deny a application. Command is only accessed by moderators and admins.

!help

!help will provide simple explanations of commands that may not be provided here.

!code

Get a random 4 digit code for your rust base.

!deldata

Delete your data from our database.

!delscrap

Delete your scrap role if you have one.

!eoka

See how many attempts it takes to shoot the eoka.

Statistics Commands

!setsteamid [url]

By giving the link of your steam profile we will automatically store your steam ID so you can use our steam based commands.

!showstats [stat_name]

Show some of your steam statistics on the game rust. Must provide your Steam ID first.

!showachievements [achievement_name]

Show some of your steam achievements from the game Rust. Must provide your Steam ID first.

!showdeaths

Show different statistics on deaths in rust.

!showplayers

Show the current player count in rust.

Admin Commands

Commands to configure your discord with Rusty Bot.

!setnews [Channel ID/Channel Name]

This is where rust news will be outputed.

!setwipes [Channel ID/Channel Name]

Rusty Bot will send newly wiped servers here.

!setrules [Message ID]

The message which people react to confirm your rules, they will get a role called 'New'.

!setapplications [Channel ID/Channel Name]

This is the channel which Rusty Bot will send newly made applications.

!allowroles [True/False]

This allows rusty bot to give number roles to every user as their scrap amounts. It is not required for the economy to work.

Roles - Optional

- Admin

To initiate the !init command you need admin powers.

- New

This role will be added after you react to the message set by !setrules [Message ID].

- Unverified

This role will be added to you when you have created a application to the guild.

- Verified

This role will be added once you have been verified by a moderator.

- 0000

Every user gets a number role which represent the amount of scrap they own. You can earn scrap by playing Rust.

Text Channels

Optional discord server template.

rules

Reactions made by new users on a specified comment in this channel will get a Role called New. This channel applies for any guild. It is recommended to make this channel public and only read.

applications

All the applications from your Unverified users will be sent here. It is recommended to make this channel only for Moderators.

rust-news

The Rust news provided by steam will be sent in this channel. It is recommended to make this channel only read.

rust-servers

This channel will provide newly wiped servers and server data. It is recommended to make this channel only read.
