Gambler

Gambler’s Showdown is a multiplayer Discord game that's perfect for servers where people love competitive and social games. To start a game, someone (the host) just needs to type /hostgame <6–10> and then pick a number between 6 and 10; that number tells us how many rounds we'll play. Once a couple of people (min 2 and the host included) are in the lobby after typing /join, the host can start the game by just using /startgame. So, here's how it works: in each round, the active players get a private message. That message has a list of nine items, and each item is worth a different amount, somewhere between five and a thousand bucks. You pick an item with /choose <1–9>, and then it's up to you: hit a button to gamble or play it safe. After each round, the bot just looks at gambled items. Someone who went all-in on the highest value item among gambled items which nobody else picked gets a point and wins the round. Everyone who gambled but didn't win ends up losing a point. If a bunch of players try to gamble the same thing, that item just gets skipped, those player’s points remain unchaged in that situation. Players who play it safe get to keep their stuff, and their score stays just where it is. When you gamble an item, it's gone from your inventory whether you win, or you lose. Items you don't gamble on sticks around for later rounds. If you hit -3 points, you're out of the game, plain and simple. If you're the last and everyone else is either out of the game or just not playing, then that's it, you win! The game wraps up right there. The host can also just use /endgame to stop the game whenever they need to. At the end of the game, whoever has the highest score wins. When players end up with the same score, we must look at the tie breakers. First, the player who burned the fewest items during the game gets a higher rank. If it's still a tie, the bot checks how much all the burned stuff was worth. The person who burned the least value gets the higher rank. If players are still tied after these checks, they will share the victory. The bot has an automatic Anti-AFK system. Players have two minutes to pick an item from their DMs. If a player doesn't pick in time, they're flagged as AFK and taken out of the game. As a penalty, if you go AFK, you'll lose 1 point each round you're away. You also won't play in any more rounds to save everyone's time. To get back in the game, just type /rejoin, and you can start playing again in the very next round. If you hit -3 points when you're chilling away from the keyboard, you're out. The bot just shows all the changes that happened, along with updated scores, after each round. It also handles who's Eliminated/AFK, all of this is summarized into a scoreboard that appears once every round wraps up. You can check out the current scores whenever you want by typing /stats. And if you need to know how to play or what commands are available, just type /help for a full rundown. Just so you know, Gambler's Showdown is only for virtual items and points. You won't be using any actual money to bet, and there’s no real-world gambling happening here.
