Wordie, a word guessing game! Now on discord!

What does it do? Once you have the bot invited to your server! You can play a simple game of Wordie using the w!play Command (w!start works too!) By default, it will start a game with 5 letters, but you can specify the length of the word too by adding a number after the play command (Wordie supports word ranges from 1 to 11).

From there, start typing down your guesses until you guess the word! Note you get a limited amount of tries. Additionally, you get 5 minutes to make another guess or else the bot will no longer accept guesses until you start a new game.

What else does it do?

Wordie also has two other modes you can play with as well. You can use the Daily and battle commands, w!daily and w!battle respectively, to try out Wordie's other modes as well.

Daily

Using the w!daily command allows you to guess the daily word of the day, it's just like a normal 5 letter game of Wordie, but with higher steaks! This time, you have six tries to guess the secret word of the day, whether or not you guess it not, you can't play this mode until the next day when the word resets (Word resets at 12:00AM or 24:00 UTC every day). This mode works a little differently as this game mode takes places in your DMs but the overall concept is the same.

Battle

With the w!battle command, you can also challenge up to two friends at the same time! With this command you will need to mention at least one other person to start a game.

Once all mentioned players click on the ready button, the game commences in your DMs. The goal is to guess the word before your friends! But don't worry, you have a chance to redeem yourself, as you get one more chance to guess the word when someone already guessed the secret word!

Once a battle has concluded, you can request a rematch by clicking on the Return to channel button. This will take you to the channel where the battle command was used and you can request a rematch using the rematch button. Once all players hit the rematch button, a new game begins as normal. Note: A rematch request will only be valid for one minute, if that expires, you'll have to use the w!battle Command again.

Additionally, your friends who are not participating in the game can see the progress of the game in the channel it was called in too! The player's guesses won't reveal to viewers until the game has ended however.

Statistics and Leaderboards

Wordie also keeps track of your statistics as well! You can use the w!stats command to see your Win/Loss statistics as well as your guess distribution across all three modes! You can specify which mode you to view your statistics for using the w!stats <game mode> command. For example, you can use w!stats battle to view your battle stats.

You can also view all of your Wordie statistics using the w!stats all command!

You can also toggle between image and text versions of your stats as well! You can change your settings preferences using the w!settings stats <image/text> command.

You can also enable colorblind mode for Wordie using the w!settings colorblind true command, this will change the appearance of your Wordie games and Statistics to a colorblind friendly option! With this setting enabled, your games and your stats now display in alternate colors.
