Symposium of Argumentative Weebs

Hello, all! Firstly, for the people who enjoy tldrs, have a look at this bullet point list for the features of this new, cool as balls server:

• The ability to be an anime server where the anime channel ISN'T just people uploading anime pictures to each other or saying that some waifu is cool, and instead where people are actually discussing anime. People will also say more than good morning on general chat, too!

• The encouragement of lengthy and fun conversation about anything, even about why an anime another member likes sucks (without needing to impose your taste on that member, too, wow! What a concept!), because everyone feels like talking shit about stuff they don't like every now and then, and accepting others' opinions involves accepting negative ones as well;

• A SFW environment that ensures people can talk shit all they want, while being inclusive to everyone who would like to talk shit: LGBTQ+ supported! Any minority is welcome here! They wanna talk shit, too!

• A consistent and clear set of rules made so you don't have to be constantly on edge about what actually isn't allowed in the server, and an administration absolutely ready and loving of those who argue about the moderation process! No more scary rules about not questioning the mods (the mod is only the admin, anyway)! Question them all you want! Bait them like the argumentative weeb you are!

• All hobbies and interests are allowed! Talk about art, or writing, or games, all you want! Stream stuff like that, too! Any and all text walls about anything are good and valid;

• If you still don't think you can be baited into joining this server to rant your opinions out, allow me to tell you my problematic opinions: I think Hunter x Hunter sucks. One Punch Man AND Mob Psycho 100 are overrated. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is trash. Also, I write fanfiction. Have fun raging at me for this!

The Symposium of Baited Argumentative Weebs, or SoBAW as discord calls it, is a server created by a single member with the objective of having a space wherein anyone can say their opinions freely, and discuss these opinions with each other without fear of being seen as toxic by merely wanting to talk at length, even if in disagreement with someone else. There are already plenty of chill, aesthetic and toxic-free servers which focus on avoiding conflict and creating a friendly and polite community, but this server aims to instigate harmless and fun conflict through bait, or, in other words, a statement which would have someone be compelled to defend their opinion and expand on it. The server is also made so that, regardless of whether it constitutes a debate or not, people can say their opinions and ramble about whatever they want, including talking shit about anime they don't like or things they find problematic that others might not find such. On discord, it's easy to find wholesome and edgy servers, but it isn't easy to find a server that actually seeks out themed conversation and substantiated opinions about someone's interests.
