Life ruled over a divine city, Death over the Underworld, creating demons from the wicked.

As the eons passed, Death grew discontent with his desolate domain. Attempting to seize Urbe Deorum, he was thwarted by Life. Realizing the need for harmony, Life absorbed Death, banishing the demons. To prevent conflict, she created gods who could ascend based on power. Billions of years later, the mortal realm flourished with diverse races and advanced technology, centered around the City of Mortals.

Urbe Deorum on its 3000th True Ruler God, saw gods and demons constantly rising. The story unfolds in this realm, questioning the nature of the characters—gods, demons, or something else.
