Since 1999, Best Way has been working on real-time strategy games built around tactical depth, realism, and long-term replay value. Starting with Soldiers: Heroes of World War II and continuing through the Men of War series, these projects helped shape modern tactical RTS by emphasizing direct unit control, physics-based interactions, and fully destructible environments.

Development is centered on the GEM Engine, a proprietary technology created specifically for complex tactical gameplay. It supports advanced physics simulation, detailed unit behavior, and dynamic, destructible battlefields. The engine has also been licensed to other teams and used in Saboteur trilogy, Men of War franchise titles, Majesty 2, Battle of Empires: 1914–1918, Call to Arms, and Call to Arms: Gates of Hell.
