Captain

About

Captain is an open-sourced Discord bot much like Rowboat and GearBot, but without loads of complex code that makes room for errors. Currently, the bot has these features:

• Reminders
• Message archiving, you'll be given an HTML file full of a bunch of messages in a nice UI
• Basic moderation commands along with an easy-to-use set of purge commands and temporary infractions
• The ability to lockdown channels with an optional time length
• Reaction roles for servers with vanity/optional roles
• Persistent roles to let users retain their roles (especially the Muted one ;P) after re-joining
• As many auto roles as you want with the ability to only give a role to either humans or bots (or both)
• Starboards to save messages, you'll be able to provide a different emoji (could be custom if you want)
• Auto-mod including anti spam, ping-spam, curse and invite
• Custom commands to display some simple-but-useful text
• Logging of all moderation actions, lockdowns, message edits/deletes, user joins/leaves and channel/role creations/deletes

What makes it better than Dyno?

Simple, you can configure EVERYTHING about the bot! From it's playing status to it's avatar, you can make it look unique and special to your server. Additionally, you don't have to rely on the uptime of other bots, which means that even if Dyno is down, your bot won't be!

Won't it be a pain to set up?

If you're into technical things and know how to use a server, you can have it set up and done within 30 minutes or so. If you're not, don't worry! We can set it up for you, or you can use the official bot if you don't have a server. Join the official Discord server for details!
