GirlsCord

A safe space for girls. This is what our GirlsCord Server is meant to be. A place for us without having to fear a discriminating comment coming from a male. No matter if while gaming, just talking or sharing interests. Because most females can relate to that, we hoped to create something to avoid such occurrences for both, cis and trans female. On the 3rd of July 2021 we started to work on the concept. The core team of this server knew each other from a German Girls Server which sadly got raided from its own leading team, a big reason why we put a lot of effort in keeping the safety here. After the basics of creating an international place where this should never happen were secured, we started the project on 14th July. We slowly built up a small but trusting crew which then extended bigger and bigger. To keep the different tasks of our crew more visible and everything more structured we decided to divide the roles into the owners, moderators, and supporters. What we didn’t want to achieve through that, is that any staff member feels empowered or like in a hierarchy. We are still doing our best so that everyone can trust each other without having to fear having their own opinion or ideas. Then, trying to make everything as perfect as possible, we released the closed beta status on 22 July, letting our now “Beta Badges” ranked people test the server to help us improve. It took quite a long time to find members, but we built up with patience. Our sponsors also helped us a lot with this Server, which we are very grateful for. We worked long days and nights, not flawless and not without trouble, but on the 15th of September 2021 we released the GirlsCord project into its open version. Now we are aiming to become a big community with the help of social media like TikTok and Instagram or a partnership with Discord, to gain more attention to a safe place like this.We are still searching for staff member from other time zones to keep this place active and to ensure a 24/7 available team for our community, so go ahead and send an application. How far we are going to make it and what is going to happen, is up for the future. So lets see what fate has waiting for us and let the story of GirlsCord continue.
