When Super Earth’s armies first stretched beyond secure supply lines, entire legions vanished into ungoverned systems—cut off, surrounded, presumed dead. Some surrendered. Others broke.

A few adapted.

The survivors reorganized not as scattered Helldivers, but as a knightly legionary order, binding themselves by oath rather than command terminal. They preserved Roman-style discipline—cohorts, standards, ranks—but replaced blind obedience with a single doctrine:

Freedom must be enforced by those who choose it.

The Free Legions fight as shock elites, standard-bearers, and rearguard executioners. Where morale breaks, they hold. Where command collapses, they lead. Their cloaks are worn only by those who have survived annihilation-level deployments and returned with their unit intact.

They do not retreat unless ordered by one of their own.

Their emblem—the Aquila pierced by the Sword of Liberty—is both promise and warning: • Freedom is not given. • It is taken, held, and defended.
