Fallout: Manhattan Project

Hey there folks,

For a while now myself and a few other talented individuals have been working on creating a Fallout roleplaying experience that isn't driven by Mr. Handys, holotapes and voiceless player characters. In Manhattan Project, you can create up to three separate characters and a handful of NPCs to take on various missions and caravan contracts, or just roam the remains of post-apocalyptic New York and interact with other characters. Using a text-based system of logic, players can participate in Free Roleplay where characters are allowed to interact freely, while Game Masters create and lead players through regular events that impact the area and the greater storyline, all offering as much player freedom as possible.

As you may have already guessed, Manhattan Project is set in the settlement of Manhattan Falls in the year 2290. After years of hard work, the residents of Manhattan have been able to provide water, food, and a safe haven for the downtrodden. A makeshift government has ushered in a feeling of Pre-War civility, while local guards and militia organizations offer peace and protection for Manhattan's citizens. Finally, three major caravan organizations have cropped up operating out of the Falls, providing a steady stream of caps for those willing to take on contracts.

This is where you enter. As a player, your character(s) will be hired by one of three caravans based in Manhattan: The Red Cap Caravans, operated by Allison Tribell, a business tycoon with ambitions in the area's politics; The Pioneers Trading Co., run by a coalition of the NCR and Followers of the Apocalypse; and Vault 70 Arms and Armor!, led by the eccentric inhabitants of Vault 70, which was designed to mass-produce weapons and armor. As a caravan employee, your character can participate in unique and varied caravan contracts that offer real money, to use at your leisure, and can participate in the rivalry between caravans as well as the politics and societal issues in Manhattan Falls.

We're a fairly small but growing community that's always around to lend a hand or just talk, and we're looking forward to welcoming new members, whether you're a long-time writer/roleplayer or just looking into it for the first time. Our rules of conduct are basic: don't be rude to others, no meta/powergaming, and respect others' writing. Otherwise, you're free to interact with other members and characters, and we truly encourage players to create to their hearts' content and immerse themselves in the world.
