Lore: The Magic Council has been changed over the last 100 years, the Royal Family now not in full control of the Fiore Kingdom and acting more like a figurehead of the Country. They can give in ideas, but the Council currently runs the entire Country and makes sure that everything is as should be.

This was all because of a War waged 100 years ago between; the Council, the Mages and the Non Mages. This War would later become known as the Genocide of the Wizard Kind. The War was over a Relic that fell into the wrong faction's hands, the Non Mages were the highest populated army in this war and hence won with ease over the Mages and the Council. Especially considering the Council's plan was to fight the Mages first to stop the oncoming destruction from them. A lot of Ishgar is now fearful of the Magic Council, but the stronger countries have stayed out of the War. Letting the petty squabbling continue.

These Relics scattering the world are hindering Mystical Creature intervention, Dragons, Gods, Demons and the like are scared of being near them just in case they are seen as the enemies and wiped out immediately. However every so often one seeps through and can be seen by Humans.

However over the last 100 years, the Mages have begun to build up rank again and have made sure that they made their presence known. Guilds sprouting up all over shop and work being the highest it has ever been.
