255 ABY, a decade since the legendary Battle of the Rebellion, Fall of the First Order and the ‘Era of the Skywalker’. A testament that even the smallest light can shine as the brightest beacon in a dark future… which is exactly what it became, a dark future… With the fall of the First Order, the galaxy descended into chaos, Empires rose and fell. The Phoenix Alliance, The Khaun dynasty, the 7th Enclave, the New Empire, each repeating a pattern of chaos and destruction. Now, at the peak of another resurgence, the galaxy is at total war with itself in unruly conflict as neighbour turns against neighbour. Alliances made and broken within days as the most loyal turn their back on their leaders. No planet is safe… but there is refuge among the stars. Across the galaxy hundreds of 'haven ships' provide safety from the chaos, travelling from sector to sector along the edge of the galaxy where the war is shallow.

Star Destroyers, Dreadnaughts and Corvettes now make up a new culture of pocket civilisations, retrofitted with homes, shops, industry and entertainment, a flying city. Jedi, Imperials, Mandalorians, Sith and even former rebels live within throwing distance of each other… ‘peacefully’ in these communities, trying to survive.
