Hey everyone,

If you're here, you probably love Pacific Rim. You love the sheer scale of a Jaeger's fist connecting, the eerie intelligence in a Kaiju's eyes, and the fragile hope of humanity standing together. You might have even imagined what it would be like to be in that world—to make the calls, feel the Drift, or command the swarm.

For a long time, my buddies and I did too. We’ve been roleplaying together for months, years. And yes, I've dreaming of a server that truly captured the grit, grandeur, and rules of this universe. One where a fight feels weighty, a character's journey matters, and the story belongs to everyone.

So, I stopped dreaming and started building.

I’m excited (and a little nervous) to finally open the doors to the Pacific Rim Community Discord. This isn't just a chat room with a theme. I’ve tried to build a living framework for stories—a place where your actions can actually shape the major part of server's history.

Here’s what you’ll find inside:

A Factastic Roleplay World. Echoing maintenance bays of the Shatterdome to the rain-slicked streets of Tokyo and the alien haze of the Precursor's Dimension, our channels are set-dressing for your stories. The lights are on, and the world is waiting.

Rules That Make the Fight Fair: We believe the best drama comes from real stakes. That’s why we have clear rules against god-modding (you have to take hits) and "speed-typing" (everyone gets a chance to react). Your Mark-3 Jaeger is powerful, but it moves and bleeds like the real thing. This keeps every victory earned and every loss meaningful.

Your Character, Your Legacy: Anyone can join, but to step into the RP as a Pilot, Kaiju, or key figure, you fill out a character application. It’s not a test—it’s a conversation starter. We want to see your creativity, your understanding of the world, and most importantly, that your character has real strengths and real flaws. Once approved, you get the “official character role” and the keys to the rp.

Titles That Mean Something: We want your biggest moments to be remembered. Through major, staff-hosted events, you can earn prestigious server roles that tell everyone who you are:

Honoured Pilot – For those who show exceptional courage or sacrifice in defense of humanity (as example) The Great Threat – For Kaiju that become legendary nightmares, the ones PPDC briefings warn about (as example) And more roles in the future.

A Team Behind the Scenes: My homies and I—all longtime RPers—are your moderators and first fellow players. We're here to keep the peace, help run events, and make sure the story keeps moving. Think of us as your Mission Control and your first squadmates.

The server isn't empty. Our core team is already in there, gearing up and generating the first logs to make it feel alive from day one.

Who We're Hoping to Find:

Pilots who feel the weight of the Conn-Pod. Kaiju roleplayers who enjoy being strategic, and terrifying. The people who make the turn of a war change: engineers, scientists, and Shatterdome staff Folks who care more about telling a cool story together than just racking up wins.

A Few Quick Answers:

“Is it just you guys in there?" We're a small (yet) but active founding group, and we're specifically timing this launch with an event to welcome everyone in with action, not just an empty lobby. “Are you guys serious about the rules?" Yes. We want a respectful, fun environment for everyone. The rules are there to protect the experience, not ruin it. “What timezone are you in?" Our team is spread across a few, and we'll schedule events to try and include as many people as possible. But honestly, its mainly GMT+3, a bit less a bit more.
