✝️ Welcome to The Eastern Cross

The Eastern Cross is an Orthodox Christian community dedicated to faith, theology, and life in the Church. Our purpose is to provide a place for genuine discussion, fellowship, and the study of Holy Scripture within the boundaries of the Orthodox Faith.

We uphold:

1. Authentic adherence to Orthodox doctrine and tradition

2. Discussions guided by the Church Fathers and ecclesial teaching

3. Active conversation without too much social moderation (just don't turn talking into a bloodsport and remember your audience)

4. Complete prohibition of promoting anti-Christian or blasphemous ideologies

5. Low tolerance for the active promotion of heterodox or secular beliefs

Moderation is carried out by members involved directly in Church life — including altar servers, lectors, and sub-deacons — ensuring that discourse remains grounded in the teaching and spirit of the Orthodox Church. This of course does not mean you cannot argue with each other (because we can't help ourselves, can we) but it does mean that we expect sound reasoning and not an overuse of Ad Hominem or Strawmanning.

All who approach with sincerity, respect, and a desire for truth are welcome. Our goal is not debate for its own sake, but the preservation and sharing of the Orthodox Faith in unity with the Church.
