Does exactly what it says on the tin. Wish there was a way to increase the resolution further, and do so without scaling the the image, but I'm guessing that's not practical for compute reasons. still, great bot.
A discord bot to render LaTeX in discord using slash commands.
This is a discord bot that allows you to render LaTeX code as images in discord, allowing you to easily share formulas and complex math statements in text channels.
Commands:
- /latex
[brightness] [scale] Renders a latex statement in the chat and sends it back. Brightness can be used to render images which can be pasted into documents (black text instead of light gray), scale and be used to create higher resolution images. Code can be any latex statement as long as it fits in an image
The bot is open source and available on github: https://github.com/alvesvaren/latex-bot-ts
It uses mathjax to render the images to an svg, and then convert it to an image file. This makes the bot really fast compared to any alternatives I've found that either uses PDFs as an intermediate step, or a browser to render and then send the image back.
