I'll preface this with saying I was banned today for creating a server that bested this one as the previously active members were sick of the greed and bad decisions on the owners part and moved along with me. I'll also say that I believe the owner is a good person at heart, and in a 1-1 setting, he is very kind. But as a server owner, though he seems nice, he doesn't always seem to mean well. As other reviews have stated, he is heavily driven by partnership to the point where he has alienated his previously active members (resulting in very little activity in general/most other chats most of the day) and though the servers activity is 100% recoverable through new members becoming active, the old ones made the server what it was and the owner Fred completely went against them to chase partnership, something he has failed to actually get on multiple occasions. I believe qts is not a server that needs partnership, and it is my own, and many others personal beliefs that he is driven by the perks of partnership - not how partnership will benefit his community. The changes he has made, for example - you cannot use NSFW words outside of the vent channel (which would require the topic to be serious), this includes words that its almost ridiculous to punish for, though as I'm not sure what the boundaries are on this site - I will not include them here. The owner also has neglected his staff members on multiple occasions, disregarding their opinion on topics that are incredibly important - for example putting a paywall on image perms in the general chat, putting a paywall on suggesting emotes, and putting a paywall on streaming in vcs (it is unclear to me whether the streaming one was a joke, but the rest are serious). Me, and other staff disagreed with this and urged him not to go through with it yet he said he was not going to change his mind. I resigned about a week or so ago, and I was one of the main staff members doing moderation for months on end - I was never thanked, nor was I given much recognition. Though I admit my staffing style was strict (which benefitted Fred's goal, but contributed to the problems I mention in this post) and I was not the most respectful in some situations, I believe my contributions were incredibly noteworthy yet I was never given praise. I was disrespected by the members of the server on many occasions despite the fact I agreed with their points - but could not go against the rules. I did sign up for this however, I was not forced to take this position and so I realise these points aren't necessarily much to shout about. Though I would like to bring up some positives. This server has a variety of osu players that range from the newbies to the pros, and I believe its very nice to have that variety. The server members are very helpful if you are new, even with an osu-help channel and I believe if you need help it's the best place to go besides the osu FAQ or whatever exists on their page. On top of this, the new staff (including staff qt and helper qt) are good at what they do, though sometimes inefficient and slow - that isn't necessarily their fault as a few of them lack training (hence why they are helper qt and not staff qt). I had an amazing time moderating with those guys even if not for long and I respect all of them. The boosting perks are relatively fair, though I do not believe the image perms and suggesting emotes thing should be part of that still. This server is not a bad one, but I think the priorities need to be changed as what Fred is aiming for right now is unrealistic for an osu! community. And even if he does manage it, it'll come at a greater cost - his community.

The owner neglects community and solely focuses on partnership instead of the server's problems, it's gotten to the point where you're basically signing a disney contract and punished for any form of swearing. The owner also doesn't seem to know the difference between guidelines and rules as all "NSFW" content is strictly forbidden. Even things like the average person wouldn't consider NSFW. Older members were forced to adapt instead of making newer members adapt to the server and that made it very tough as many rules were changed and added. 

Another thing I'd like to add is the fact that the server is currently sitting at over 9000 members but the chats have barely any activity, sometimes being so dead you wouldn't be able to distinguish it from a server with just 50 members.

But the server does have some upsides, a lot of people are nice and fun to talk to and I met a lot of good people in there. Unfortunately the server doesn't seem to be very caring of its community anymore though.

Hey! First and foremost- you were banned from the server a long time ago and have 3 pages of punishments. You were banned for multiple reasons and also have done destructive things to the server before. With that aside, let me address everything you've stated. Not all NSFW content is forbidden- there are some cases in which NSFW topics are allowed. However, 99% of the time this doesn't go in the proper channel. Due to this, I have to unfortunately punish those that don't follow the rules of no NSFW (outside of that one channel where certain NSFW is permitted). Many rules were changed and added as the server grew as there were needs that had to be met as it grew; it wasn't a group of friends anymore, it was a large community. Usually, these rule changes were announced as well. I feel like this has more to do with your punishment of inciting toxic behaviour and the mod team being more strict about toxic behaviour. The chats being inactive is just part of the server; we have active and inactive times. I'm not sure why or how you were able to leave a review as you were banned and sought out to destroy the server, but I have replied to each claim nonetheless.

Hi there! We're sorry you had a negative experience with our community. Upon viewing the chat history of you and a few other members- we've noticed that you have cursed out another member of ours. Our server already punishes rulebreakers, and the member that sarcastically insulted you has already been punished for another reason. In regards to your behaviour: we've noticed that you've said the n word with hard r and also proceeded to insult another member in another language- which goes against our rules of keeping our chat english only. That behaviour in our server is unacceptable- and we hope to see you again once things go better. Have a nice day!

server went downhill cause of greed, server owner only cares about getting discord partnership and nitro boosters

one of the worst discord server i went to,it was once good,but since 2021 new members joining the server became toxic + dead.they wouldn't tell you what they think about you but actually doesn't like it and think you are dumb,don't join this server,it's pointless.
