What is CrabeChannel?

CrabeChannel is a lightweight and powerful Discord bot that allows your members to create their own temporary voice channels. When a user joins the hub channel, a personal voice channel is automatically created for them. When everyone leaves, the channel is deleted. No clutter, no maintenance.

Features

Automatic Channel Creation

Set a hub voice channel with /sethub. When any member joins it, a private voice channel is created instantly and they are moved into it. When the last person leaves, the channel is automatically deleted.

Interactive Control Panel

Every temporary channel gets a control panel with buttons. The channel owner can:

• Rename - Change the channel name
• Lock / Unlock - Prevent or allow new users from joining
• Hide / Show - Make the channel invisible or visible to others
• User Limit - Set a maximum number of users (0 to 99)
• Kick - Remove a user from the channel
• Block - Ban a user from the channel (kick + prevent rejoin)
• Unblock - Remove a block from a user
• Transfer - Give ownership to another member in the channel
• History - View the full activity log of the channel

Automatic Ownership Transfer

If the channel owner leaves but other members remain, ownership is automatically transferred to the next member. No channel is ever left without a manager.

User Statistics

Track your activity with /stats:

• Total channels created
• Time spent in voice
• Kicks performed
• Blocks performed

You can also view other users' stats.

Multilingual Support

Use /language to switch the bot language for your entire server. Currently supported:

• English (default)
• French
• Spanish

Every message, button, modal, and embed is fully translated.

Quick Setup

1. Create a voice channel in your server (this will be the "hub")
2. Run /sethub and select that channel
3. Done. Join the hub channel to test it

That's it. No dashboards, no web panels, no complicated configuration.

CrabeChannel only requests the permissions it needs:

• Manage Channels - Create and delete temporary voice channels
• Move Members - Move users into their new channel
• Mute / Deafen Members - Allow channel owners to moderate
• Connect - Join voice channels to manage them
• View Channels - See channels to manage them
• Send Messages - Send the control panel embed

Reliability

CrabeChannel handles edge cases that other bots ignore:

• Bot restart? Active channels are re-adopted, empty ones are cleaned up
• Owner leaves? Ownership transfers automatically
• Rate limits? All actions use ephemeral responses to minimize API calls
• Errors? Every interaction is wrapped in error handling so the bot never crashes silently

Privacy

CrabeChannel stores minimal data per server:

• The hub channel ID
• The chosen language
• Per-user statistics (channels created, time in voice, kicks, blocks)

No message content is ever read or stored. No personal data is shared with third parties. Data is stored locally and can be deleted at any time by removing the bot from your server.
