⚡ How To Use It

Using ImaQuoteThat couldn't be simpler:

Find any message in a server where ImaQuoteThat is present
Right-click the message (or long-press on mobile)
Hover over Apps
Click Make Quote

That's it. The bot instantly generates a quote image and posts it in the channel. No slash command, no copy-pasting text, no uploading anything. Just two clicks from message to quote.

🎨 Full Style Customization with /editor

This is where ImaQuoteThat really separates itself from other quote bots. Your quotes don't have to look like everyone else's. Use the /editor command to open the full style editor and make the bot yours:

Fonts — Choose from a curated selection of unique fonts that give your quote images a distinct personality.

Background Color — Set a custom hex color as your quote background. Want pitch black? Pure white? A specific shade of navy that matches your server's vibe? You've got full control.

Text Color — Customize the color of the quote text itself independently from the background. High contrast, pastel, monochrome — whatever suits your aesthetic.

Layouts — Choose from multiple image layout templates that change how the quote, author name, and avatar are arranged. Different layouts give your quotes a completely different feel.

All settings are saved permanently to your profile. Every quote you generate from that point on will automatically use your saved preferences without you having to set anything each time. Your style travels with you across every server the bot is in.

🌈 Avatar Color Matching (.tac)

Want your quote backgrounds to feel more personal and dynamic? Send .tac in a DM to the bot to toggle Average Color Mode. When enabled, instead of using your saved background color, the bot automatically samples the dominant color from the quoted user's avatar and uses that as the background. Every quote ends up with a background that feels visually connected to the person being quoted — no two quotes look exactly the same. Send .tac again to switch back to your custom color.

📬 DM Delivery Mode (.qdm)

Sometimes you want to save a quote privately without posting it in the server for everyone to see. Send .qdm in a DM to the bot to toggle DM Delivery Mode. When enabled, your generated quote images are sent directly to your DMs instead of posting in the channel. Perfect for building a personal collection of memorable quotes, or for quoting something you don't necessarily want to broadcast to the whole server. Toggle it off with .qdm again whenever you're ready to go back to normal.

📊 Personal & Global Stats

.ms — My Stats Send .ms in a DM to the bot to see your personal quote count — the total number of quote images you've generated since you started using ImaQuoteThat.

.stats — Global Bot Stats Send .stats anywhere to generate a beautiful stats image card showing live global statistics for ImaQuoteThat: total quotes generated across all servers, how many servers the bot is in, and current bot uptime. Great for satisfying your curiosity about how much collective quote energy the bot is running on.

🔔 Server Update Notifications (.setupdateschannel)

Stay in the loop when ImaQuoteThat releases new features, improvements, or important announcements. Server administrators can designate a specific channel to receive bot update notifications using the .setupdateschannel #channel command. When updates are pushed out to all servers, the bot will post the announcement directly into your designated channel so your community never misses a thing. This is a one-time setup and requires Administrator permissions in the server.

🔒 Privacy & Data

ImaQuoteThat is built with a minimal data footprint. Here's exactly what is and isn't stored:

What we store:

Your quote counter (how many quotes you've made)
Your style preferences (font, colors, layout) — so you don't have to set them again
Server update channel configuration (if set by an admin)

What we never store:

Quote images — generated in memory, delivered, and immediately discarded
Message content — processed in the moment only, never saved
User avatars — retrieved per-request and never cached

🛠️ Permissions

ImaQuoteThat requests Administrator permissions during the invite flow to ensure it can function correctly across all channels and server configurations without running into permission issues. The bot uses these permissions solely for its stated features — reading messages to generate quotes and sending quote images to channels. As well as update messages.
