HackRadar tracks hackathons across multiple platforms and posts updates to Discord servers.
HackRadar is an open-source Discord bot built to solve one simple problem: hackathons are scattered across too many platforms, and it’s easy to miss good ones.
The bot continuously tracks upcoming hackathons from major platforms like MLH, Devpost, Devfolio, DoraHacks, and Unstop, aggregates them, and posts updates directly into Discord servers — so communities don’t have to manually check multiple websites.
HackRadar fetches new events every 12 hours to avoid spam while still keeping servers up to date. Users can interact with the bot using slash commands to search hackathons, filter by platform, and view upcoming events directly from Discord.
It also supports personalized subscriptions, allowing users to subscribe to specific themes (such as AI, Blockchain, Web3, etc.) and receive DM notifications when relevant hackathons are detected.
Messages are sent as rich embeds with banners, prize details, important dates, and registration links for better readability. All hackathon data and user subscriptions are stored using PostgreSQL, and the entire system is Dockerized for easy self-hosting and deployment.
HackRadar is actively developed in public and welcomes feedback, feature requests, and open-source contributions.
