A baseball stats bot for discord
9/20/22 - Discord has updated how it requires the handling of messages and message content and Basebot does not adhear to these new requirements. Basebot will cease operations on 10/1/2022. I'll look into a possible rewrite in the offseason but there is a slim chance of that happening. Its been fun :)
This is a work in progress discord bot for getting baseball related information in discord.
List of Commands:
- basebot player
<playername>- lookup a players stats for the current regular season - basebot score
<teamname>- lookup the score of the most current game a team has played - basebot highlights
<teamname>- get the highlights from the latest game a team has played - basebot roster
<teamname>- get the current roster for the provided team - basebot standings - get the current regular season standings
- basebot schedule
<teamname>- get the scheduled games for a a team for the next week - basebot schedule - get any scheduled games for the current day
- basebot playoffs - get a summary of the current playoff series
- basebot hockey - get a list of today's hockey games, because reasons

It works in one of my servers but doesn't work in another. please help.

It is a great bot that makes it super easy to search pretty much any stat. The only improvement I can think of is getting the wild card standings available, if possible.

This bot is amazing. It has so many stats, and you have the most recent lineups of the team you want. You don't even need to go check BaseballReference. You like baseball? Use this bot!

This is a really good idea and it would be great if it were built out further. I'm starting to wonder if it could be possible to create a fantasy league within a Discord server...
