Ghosty

Ghosty is a bot that helps you log and crush those annoying ghost pings.

Background

Ghost pings are an unfortunate feature of Discord, where if one pings another user and immediately deletes their message, the victim will be left with a notification, but no way to find out what message they were mentioned in. This can be frustrating for users, as it easily goes under the radar of detection by other mod tools. But not for long, as Ghosty has pioneered a method to create a modlog of any potentially guilty messages.

Ghosty has a unique setting called the 'factor' which lets you control the sensitivity of the bot. Traditionally ghost ping messages are deleted less than 3 seconds after their creation, but sometimes they can go longer. You can configure your factor on a scale of 1-9, where 1 will pick up the most messages, but 9 will pick up only extremely certain ghost pings.
