Please read #code-of-laws for server rules and scroll down for further information! Made in Abyss is a manga series with an anime adaption originally created by Akihito Tsukushi in 2012. In 2018, Kinema Citrus released the first season of the anime, with sequels films in production.
It is about a giant chasm discovered and nicknamed “The Abyss.” It is filled with unknown creatures and ancient relics from long ago. Riko, an orphaned girl training to be an explorer of the Abyss and daughter of the legendary Lyza the Annihilator, finds a robot boy she names Reg. After a letter from her mother emerges suggesting she may be alive at the bottom of the Abyss, she and Reg start off a journey down the chasm, with no guarantee of making it back alive.
