VRAF now recruiting - Virtual Royal Air Force

We have squadrons at Lossiemouth and Coningsby - both of these fly daily at 8pm. One at Brize Norton which flies once a week and an American VRAF based at Raf Lakenheath as well. Each squadron focuses on something different.

Activities include circuits, all weather flying, ATC, air to air refuelling practice, landing challenges, reconnaissance missions, submarine hunting practice and exercises, QRA (quick reaction alert practice and live exercises), formation flying, dogfighting as well as multi-role missions, occasional deployments to overseas territories and even full scale missions for time to time

Recruiting: Typhoon pilots for Lossiemouth and Coningsby Heavy pilots for Brize (and multi role activities) F14/15/18 pilots for Raf lakenheath . Pilots who also have an interest in ATC operations.

The VRAF is active every evening at 2000hours. We don’t expect everyone to be able to be free every night but ask for regular commitment so if you’re free during the evenings and have a passion for military aircraft and procedures, we’d love to hear from you. We have a solid group of people who are willing to pass on their skills learned already
