Dungeons & Dragons is the world’s most popular and successful tabletop role-playing game created by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson in 1974 as the derivative of the miniature medieval war game chainmail. It has since gone on to become one of the foremost influences of countless fantasy and sci-fi novels video games and movies. D&D is a storytelling adventure game generally played with a group of friends and your imagination.
But it cannot be played without other people. Luckily we’re in a really good time for finding good tools to play D&D online but today I’m gonna talk specifically about using discord as the primary tool that we use to play D&D so why am I choosing discord why there’s a lot of options out there why am I picking that one? This is because there are thousands of people looking to play DND on Discord servers every day.
