Though the allure is great, the treacherous nature of the caves with their deadly traps, shifting tunnels, and mysterious guardians have forced all who enter to leave without their treasure- if they leave at all.

In the 21st century, things have begun to change. Strangers have started to move in, some drawn by the appeal of a beautiful village away from the rest of civilization, and others by the draw of the mythical object's power, its legend spread far and wide. The once-forbidding caves are now frequented by people venturing in search of the hidden treasure, and the object is closer in reach than ever before, sparking hope- or malice- within the hearts of those who seek it.

As mere legends become a race for those who desire the object's power, the fate of Latjovarre hangs in balance. The citizens of the town slowly grow more hostile to the newcomers who seek to steal the treasure they believe rightfully belongs to them, and the city council seems more suspicious with each passing day. As secrets are revealed, the destinies of everyone in town become intertwined with the search for an object of power that lies in wait, poised to bring prosperity or ruin.
